Charlotte, NC introduces home ownership incentive program for corridor revitalization

Charlotte, NC Corridor Home Ownership Incentive Program

Charlotte identified six Corridors of Opportunity for commercial rejuvenation and improved access to affordable housing. The House Charlotte Plus initiative offers $50,000 in zero-interest deferred loans for home purchases within these corridors. Eligible buyers earn less than 80% of the area median income and purchase homes valued at up to $315,000. The pilot builds on an existing House Charlotte offering of $30,000, thus supplying up to $80,000 per qualifying buyer.
