Heinola, FI Mailbox Cycling Campaign Increased Active

The city's Sports Services team placed red mailboxes at 10 locations throughout Heinola. Cyclists use an online map to plan their mailbox trips. Each mailbox holds a log book for participants to enter their names and phone numbers. Logged names count as entries into prize drawings at the conclusion of the five-month program. Heinola developed the mailbox cycling series to complement regional active travel efforts like the walking kilometer race.
