Saanich, BC Workplace Injury Management
The District of Saanich created an award-winning Workplace Injury Management (WIM) program. The WIM program focused on improving injury reporting, return to work opportunities, and alternate duties for employees returning to work. These positive WIM changes created safer and healthier local work environments by providing additional support to sick and injured employees while also reducing claim costs and insurance amounts.
Proyecto realizado con éxito
The District of Saanich won the Safety Improvement Award at the BC Municipal Safety Association’s annual awards celebration in 2020. The Safety Improvement Award recognizes local governments for activities that improve experience rating, and reduce injuries, illness, disease and fatalities.
