Vitoria-Gasteiz, PV installs access-controlled organic waste bins across city neighborhoods

Vitoria-Gasteiz, PV Neighborhood Organic Waste Bins

Municipal officials plan the installation of 873 access-controlled brown bins by the project's conclusion. Residents swipe their Municipal Citizen Cards or the Ireki mobile app to open bins for use. Each bin includes displays on the use of compostable bags along with a list of accepted items. Vitoria-Gasteiz stationed two staff members at the first bin in Lakua to assist bin users and explain how organic materials are turned into new products.
