Honolulu, HI Mobile Homeless Outreach Shelter
Homeless Outreach and Navigation for Unsheltered Persons (HONU) places up to ten tents for unhoused residents in a public park. The city's Department of Community Services and Police Department keeps tents in place for up to 90 days per location. The mobile shelter features showers, food, beds, and social services for up to 80 people. HONU has served homeless residents at locations including Waipahu Cultural Garden Park and Keehi Lagoon Beach Park.
