Eighty unhoused residents at the Bronx Welcome Center were offered spaces in city-owned supportive housing units. The region's VOA chapter provides services based on resident needs including health referrals, life skills training, and food assistance. New York City is financing a trial period of up to eight months while seeking state and federal aid.
