A 2021 engagement campaign identified construction waste, food waste, and asset maximization as frequent concerns of residents. Local organizations with pilot-ready data and technology solutions to these challenges can apply for Living Lab funding. Applicants seek up to AUD 20,000, up to AUD 50,000 with one-to-one matching, or in-kind donations from the council. Selected pilots run for up to six months and garner community feedback for further development.
