This initiative funds local business projects focused on emissions reduction, environmental preservation, and sustainable economics. Four funding rounds are completed each year based on approvals from the city and its project partners. City officials hope that emission savings from funded projects can be used in a carbon trading scheme for area businesses. Éclore Environment Fund is the first municipal-led fund of its kind in the province.
