West Sussex County Council, GB Community Surplus Food Hub
County officials partnered with UKHarvest on the six-month pilot. Community Food Hubs operate monthly in three communities with the highest amounts of food waste found in rubbish bin collections. Residents donate £3.50 to gather surplus foods supplied by regional food producers. The Community Food Hubs also host workshops on batch cooking, leftover meal recipes, and other tips for reducing food waste.
