Essex County Council is partnering with Southend-on-Sea Borough Council to launch a local COVID-19 contact tracing service. The service will support contact tracing for schools, care homes, work place, and vulnerable groups. The service will use Public Health England testing data to identify, track, and trace connections of positive COVID-19 cases. Any individuals identified to have come in close contact with a positive case will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
