Wellington City Council, NZ is using the Rippl app for city-wide contact tracing during COVID-19

Wellington City Council, NZ Rippl COVID-19 contact tracing

In Progress

Wellington City Council partnered with local software developer, PaperKite, to use the Rippl app for cite-wide contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council registered with Rippl to receive unique QR codes that will be displayed at each Council site. Ripple users can scan the QR code when entering or exiting a facility. Health officials will send alerts to anyone who logged themselves at a location in which they could have come in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19.
