Mississauga approved the five-year MARC pilot with a starting date of July 4, 2022. Building owners with at least six rental units and a shared common area pay annual registration fees of CAD 18.25 per unit. By-law officers conduct regular evaluations of registered properties for cleanliness, pest management, legal compliance, and state of repair. Residents of registered buildings use an online complaint form for expedited responses to non-compliant landlords.
