Warrnambool, VIC Community Garden Solar Energy Project

The council worked with South West Community Energy and garden leaders to facilitate the installation. A 6.6-kilowatt rooftop unit provides enough power for the garden hub's daily activities and future additions like a sound stage. Warrnambool Community Garden will repay its share of the project expense over eight years. This project moves Warrnambool closer to its net-zero emissions goal and contributes excess energy to the local grid.
