Denbighshire County Council partnered with Schaefer, a microchip software company, to conduct a pilot designed to improve recycling rates. The Council's six-month pilot involves installing microchips in orange recycling caddies across 630 local households. The microchips monitor which households are not using the orange caddy system so the Council can encourage them to start recycling.
