Local officials identified only 10 family physicians for 14,000 local residents. The incentive program offers financial assistance for moving and professional costs based on each recruit's needs. Kincardine encourages temporary appointments with local healthcare providers by providing free housing at a city-owned property and two homes owned by The Society of United Professionals. A full-time physician recruiter works with volunteer ambassadors to welcome physicians to the community.
