King County, WA sought increased turnout for a special election by using an online voting platform
King County, WA Online Voting Platform Special District
The pilot allowed county residents to vote for King Conservation District board candidates using phones and computers. Voters entered their names and birthdays, selected candidates, and provided electronic signatures before hitting send. The OmniBallot system created a PDF version of the ballot for verification by election officials. King County Elections worked with Democracy Live to test the platform for this special election.
