Newcastle, NSW Lean in Newy App Resident Engagement

Local residents complete volunteer challenges through Lean in Newy to earn rewards. Fifty challenges from 13 local organizations were listed when the app was introduced. Available challenges ranged from helping a senior resident access online resources to volunteering at a dog rescue. Lean in Newy users redeem reward points for discounts and gift cards at local shops. Newcastle collaborated with GreenBe on an app that encourages volunteerism during COVID-19.
