Oxfordshire County Council, GB Data-Driven Road Safety Tool
In Progress
This 18-month project outfitted 700 vehicles with equipment that tracks movement throughout the county. One hundred smart street sensors from Vivacity Labs gather data on vehicle speed, brake and accelerate usage, and distance from other vehicles. County officials are working with Loughborough University to analyze data gathered by the Data-Driven Road Safety Tool. The pilot helps Ford test its technology while helping the county predict congestion and accident hotspots.
