Yarra, VIC Low Power Wide Area Network Our Future

Yarra Council and Thinxtra added LPWAN equipment at 12 public buildings throughout the city. Thinxtra's LPWAN offers Internet access to local residents, agencies, and businesses with lower energy usage than Wi-Fi routers. The network allows council officials to gather real-time air quality and traffic data from smart sensors. The city's partnership with Thinxtra works toward Our Future Yarra goals like smart water metering and interactive signage.
