Collected biogas now powers a generator that creates 400 kilowatts of electricity for the facility. Roseville also fostered connections between restaurants and the plant that turn cooking oils and greases into eco-friendly energy. The city's investment in cogeneration saves the public $300,000 per year in electricity costs.
