Sequim, WA partnered with Sequim Health & Housing Collaborative to launch the HOPE Outreach Program
The city of Sequim hosted a Human Services Summit with 50 services providers from across the county to look for new ways to address community issues such as substance use disorders and homelessness. The city's goals were to focus on outcomes, encourage collaboration, and prioritize funding to the greatest needs. The city awarded a three-year contract to nine non-profit social service organizations, the Sequim Health & Housing Collaborative (SHHC), which launched the HOPE Outreach Program.

Sequim, WA engages local residents in budgeting decisions with the People's Project
Local residents filled out Dare to Dream cards with their proposed public projects for the 2021 budget. Sequim officials selected five finalists for four days of voting at the Civic Center. The city opened voting to locals, county residents, and visitors with greater weight based on residency. People's Project allocated up to $150,000 for winning projects. Voters selected a water refill station project for full funding and a smart bin project for partial funding.
