Bega Valley, NSW Nourish & Flourish Food Initiative

Bega Valley developed the program to shift 30% of food industry waste from landfills to kitchen tables. Nourish & Flourish recruits grocers, restaurants, and commercial producers for surplus food deliveries to local pantries. Participating businesses highlight their work with signage and social media assets designed by the council. The program also asks home gardeners to set aside extra fruits and vegetables for community food resources.
