Chicago, IL Thierer Family Foundation Food Delivery Pilot
The Vivery Idea Lab pilot aims for 2,000 food deliveries to 150 residents of the Austin neighborhood. Participants will communicate with food banks and pantries through Vivery. This platform supports online ordering, text alerts, and inventory updates. Monthly deliveries from project partner Delivery First include shelf-stable and perishable items. This six-month pilot evaluates how city departments can leverage Vivery for expanded access to healthy food.

City of Chicago :: The City Of Chicago Announces New Pilot to Improve Food Access for Chicago Residents with Disabilities
CHICAGO — The Mayor’s Office of People with Disabilities (MOPD), Community Safety Coordination Center (CSCC), and the Thierer Family Foundation, an organization helping nonprofits increase their impact through technology, today announced a collaborative effort to increase food access for Chicago residents who live with any disabilities. Working closely together, MOPD, CSCC, and the Thierer Family Foundation initiated the Vivery Idea Lab in-home delivery pilot to provide access to nutritious food for high-risk, challenging-to-serve populations in the City who may experience barriers to accessing food options.
