Lancaster and Verkada implemented a citywide monitoring system after incidents at Penn Square and the Visitor Center. A network of 150 cameras connects to Verkada's Command platform for AI-enabled analytics. City officials paid particular attention to the water treatment facility and high-traffic public spaces during camera placement. Public safety personnel access real-time footage from the city's major assets by phone, tablet, or laptop.
