Orange County identified childcare costs as an obstacle to residents leaving abusive environments. The two-year pilot uses $1 million in county funds to offset the costs of child care for domestic violence victims. The participating clinicians patrol local streets for quick responses to teammates in need of evaluations, short-term care, and referrals.
