Pima County is replacing precinct-based polling places with new vote centers and e-poll books. By replacing the polling centers where in-person voters had to cast ballots within their precincts voters will be able to cast a ballot at any location. The Pima County Elections Department is partnering with TENEX to replace the paper process for checking-in voters with election management software that will use an iPad to print off a ballot specific to each voter's verified precinct.

The Pima County Board of Supervisors has approved a $26.6 million contract to provide body-worn cameras for all 476 deputies and 417 corrections officers in the Sheriff's Department. The ten-year contract with the Scottsdale-based Axon Enterprise Company also includes 800 new Tasers and video storage services. The new cameras will have a livestreaming feature that automatically starts streaming to a supervisor and any deputy within a 30-foot radius when a gun or Taser is drawn.
