Users enter addresses or place names to find the average annual sunshine for each lot. A low-to-high scale rates potential energy up to 1,150 kilowatt hours. The Solar Rooftop Tool includes lists of licensed installers in British Columbia. A financing section explains options to decrease retrofitting costs like the Canada Greener Homes Grant. Victoria collaborated with the University of British Columbia on this project as part of its Climate Leadership Plan.
