London Royal Borough of Greenwich, GB Energy Hero Pilot

The borough partnered with KiWi Power on a one-year pilot that promoted reduced energy consumption. One hundred residents used the Energy Hero app after smart energy meter attachments were installed in their homes. Energy Heroes received app notifications during peak use periods and were encouraged to reduce power use. The pilot provided quarterly vouchers or pooled donations to charity based on participant preferences.
