Phoenix, AZ Urban Agriculture Fellowship New Talent
Residents aged 18 to 24 are hired by the Phoenix Office of Environmental Programs to work at area farms. Urban Agriculture Fellows learn the ins and outs of farm operations including sustainable planting, market sales, and community outreach. The city pays each fellow $15 per hour for 20 hours per week over a one-year period. Participants can follow their fellowships with free participation in the Sustainable Cooperative Food Business Training Program.
