San Francisco, CA deploys license plate readers to address organized theft

100 of 400 license plate readers have been installed in SF

The ALPR cameras aim to record and ultimately deter theft, including carjacking, and sexual assault. The project includes installation at approximately 100 intersections across the city in a city-wide effort to reduce crime and promote public safety.
