The Hamilton City Council approve the $365,326 purchase of 100 body cameras from Axon with annual payments of $72,515 over five years. The Hamilton Police Department will use the body-worn cameras to provide key evidence in criminal prosecutions, capture an accurate account policing encounters, and as an invaluable training tool for officers.

The Hamilton City Council is considering new regulations to prevent drone voyeurism and
harassment after receiving complaints from residents . The proposed law would ban the act of flying drones over crime scenes, emergency workers, public parks, schools, municipal buildings, or any private property without the owner's consent. The regulations would also make it unlawful to use drones in any manner which endangers or disturbs people, wildlife, or property.
