On-site battery storage holds up to 1,953 kilowatts with the array sending excess energy to the utility grid. The plant operates entirely on solar energy with its grid connection used as a backup in case of array issues. This upgrade offsets a major source of energy consumption while ensuring continuous operation for a growing population.
