The ShotStoppers program incentivizes neighborhood groups' community violence intervention (CVI) efforts. Successful applicants combine outreach, mediation, and service navigation within their defined CVI zones. Detroit provides grants of up to $700,000 per organization based on measurable impacts on gun violence. City officials approved the use of federal ARPA funds for the two-year program with enough funds for five grant recipients per year.
