Full Service Sidewalk Snow Pilot | EngageWR

This year, the City of Kitchener has been removing snow and ice from the sidewalk in front of your property as we test new approaches to tackle winter in Kitchener. Based on the bylaw standard, Kitchener residents are required to clear their sidewalks of ice and snow to bare pavement within 24 hours, once snowfall has stopped. When an additional snowfall occurs within the 24-hour period, the ‘clock’ is reset, giving residents another 24 hours to clear their sidewalks. This winter, city crews have been clearing your neighbourhood’s sidewalks down to bare pavement after each snowfall, within the same 24-hour window normally required of residents. Click the "Pilot Map" tab to see the full pilot area. We want to know what you think about this pilot! Fill out our survey for your chance to win one of sixteen $25 Tim Hortons gift cards.
