The council turned a community allotment on Church Road into 29 introductory gardens. Residents without access to yards can claim these gardens. Each participant receives a free kit with their choice of seeds and bulbs along with tools and gloves. Gardeners access a shared shed with watering cans, shovels, and rakes. Borough officials created this program along with community growing projects to reduce emissions from food delivery vehicles.
