Shire officials partnered with local farms on a one-year mentoring and training pilot. The program recruits up to four young residents for hands-on experiences from planting to selling produce. Participants learn about regenerative agriculture in line with Mornington Peninsula's years-long commitment to sustainable farming. Program graduates receive help from the council in securing farmland so they can put their skills and experiences to use.
