Randers, DK HOUE MyWaste Plastic Recycling Program

After-school program participants gather plastic waste at home during the 11-week program. Kids receive stickers recognizing their efforts to collect recyclables and educate their families. Participating centers compete for prizes for diverting the most plastic from the landfill. Gathered plastics are delivered to HOUE for production of the FALK armchair available at a discounted rate to Randers residents.

Nyt affaldsprojekt sætter fokus på genbrug og plastaffald i institutioner

Torsdag den 15. april havde børnene i Jennumparkens Fritidshjem i Randers travlt med at måle hvor mange meter plastikdåser og plastikflasker, de havde samlet sammen derhjemme siden påske. Fritidshjemmet er nemlig med i et nyt affaldsprojekt MyTrash. Projektet går ud på, at børn indsamler hård plast, som designmøbelvirksomheden HOUE omdanner til designerstole, som institutionerne kan købe. Alle institutioner i Randers Kommune er inviteret til at deltage i affaldsprojektet.

Projet réussi

Students at Fritidshjemmet Jennumparken collected 206 meters of plastic waste for an event early in the program.
