Derby City Council designed its broadband network to help public housing residents access benefits systems, smart tools, and utility portals. The council is working with CityFibre to install full-fiber broadband with Gigabit capacity. Once completed, 13,000 council housing tenants will have access to super-fast Internet speeds. City officials and CityFibre anticipate a five-year timeline for completing the project.
