Penrith, NSW Smart Waste Collection Truck

The new truck uses a steerable rear axle for reduced turn radius and easier mobility on city streets. A smaller frame and more efficient engine help the vehicle easily meet Australian emission standards. This vehicle features Pedestrian Detection under 50 kilometers per hour along with an audible Lane Guard alert. Penrith Waste Services worked with Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Stillwell Trucks, and SUEZ to create this first-of-its-kind vehicle in Australia.
