The crowdfunding campaign seeks £2,600,000 to pay for laptops and 4G hotspots for each child. Laptops for Children also encourages donations of lightly used equipment to be refurbished prior to delivery. Local officials used crowdfunding to complement the national government's Digital Devices initiative.
