The City of Chattanooga's Office of Performance Management and Open Data modeled its own version of the Peak Academy based on the highly successful Denver program. The Chattanooga Peak Academy is designed to empower city employees with private sector tools in order to develop innovations that improve city services. The 5-day "Black Belt" training process helps city employees understand system operations, identify waste in their systems, discover solutions with gap analysis tools, etc.
