ETHAN (Emergency Telehealth and Navigation) is to address two problems: unnecessary ambulance transports and ED overcrowding throughout the Houston area

Project geslaagd

ETHAN has made emergency response more efficient while lowering costs for non-emergent patients by avoiding costly ambulance rides. Out of 7,500 patients receiving emergency services using the ETHAN system: 6,000 were able to avoid emergency transports; 80% of patients who avoided ambulatory services have saved $2,000 each on average.
