The council selected residents of an area care home for the one-year pilot. Participants receive tablets with Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile data plans to stay connected to the world. County and national health teams provide digital training and ongoing support during the trial. Addressing the digital divide among an aging population is part of a countywide Digital Strategy for equitable Internet access.
