Sheffield City Council, GB Shared Ownership Scheme

The Shared Ownership Scheme allows new home buyers to acquire as little as 10% of newly built council homes in Owlthorpe. Participants apply for mortgages on their shares and pay subsidized rents on city-owned home shares. The program allows owners to increase their shares up to full ownership. There is a 10-year warranty on external and structural repairs along with a £500 annual reimbursement for qualifying internal repairs.
