Campbelltown, NSW adopts process for turning building waste into recycled parking lot surfaces
The city's asset rejuvenation initiative includes transforming trail concrete and building waste into recycled surfacing. A former quarry was turned into a processing area for the repurposed materials. Campbelltown used the recycled road surface when renewing lots at Victoria Park, Eschol Park Sports Complex, and other public properties. This project saved Campbelltown $100,000 in new material costs and reduced emissions from standard surfacing practices.
