Nearby solar panels and micro wind turbines cover 100% of the station's energy needs. A projected 820 kilowatt-hours per year in green energy will power CCTV cameras, digital signage, and lights. Telford & Wrekin Council plans additional off-grid stations by 2024 as part of its 2030 net-zero effort.
