Wollondilly, NSW and fellow Western Parkland members pursue cross-council Sensor Network project
Wollondilly led the eight-council group on the multi-year development of a shared IoT network. The Sensor Network publishes real-time data on air quality, pedestrian flows, sports ground conditions, and water quality on public dashboards. The councils worked with Sydney Water on incorporating the utility's IoT devices for a fuller picture of local conditions. Long-term applications of network data range from reducing urban heat islands to the conservation of local waterways.

+6Wollondilly, NSW streamlines resident service requests with new Customer Portal
Residents click through categories like Development Control and Environmental Health to make their requests. Portal users consult with an interactive map of current requests to see if their issues were previously reported. Each request produces an ID number entered into the portal to track progress. The Customer Portal includes a dashboard with pending, in progress, and completed requests over the past month. This portal was part of the council's Integrated Service Delivery Program Project.
