Hudson County, NJ takes steps to improve energy efficiency at correctional facilities
Hudson County, NJ Energy Efficiency Corrections Project
Hudson County added a solar power system to its main correctional facility including rooftop and parking lot panels. Water and electrical use in the county's psychiatric hospital and juvenile center will be monitored by a customized dashboard from Honeywell. This project also replaced an inefficient central plant with boilers in each building to maintain operations during outages.
