Louisville, CO adopts fully electric waste management fleet

Louisville has introduced the nation’s first fully electric garbage truck fleet, consisting of 25 vehicles designed to reduce emissions and improve air quality in the city while also cutting operational costs. Boulder County, CO begins a carshare pilot for affordable housing residents in Louisville

Boulder County and Colorado CarShare stationed a shareable electric vehicle at the Kestrel housing community. The program offers discounted memberships and driving credits for community residents. Project partner Boulder County Mobility for All advocated for the carshare to complement existing bus, paratransit, and cycling options. County officials are funding the pilot through 2021 with a possible extension based on vehicle use.
