Pittsburgh, PA real-time traffic management system

The City of Pittsburgh is preparing to launch the "Smart Spines" traffic-management system to reduce congestion in high-priority traffic corridors. The smart city plan will use a combination of CCTV cameras and sensors to collect real-time traffic data and remotely adapt traffic signal timing. The Smart Spines project is scheduled to begin phase one of construction this summer.
